NSW Women's Week
NSW Women’s Week, set to kick off from Monday 4 March to Sunday 10 March, promises a dynamic series of events, focusing on inclusivity and celebrating the achievements of women across NSW.
This year's events will showcase the remarkable stories and accomplishments of women and girls from diverse backgrounds, including:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
- culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD)
- those living with disability
- LGBTIQA+
- those living in regional, rural and remote NSW.
The week-long celebration will connect, celebrate, and pay tribute to women through a series of engaging events being delivered thanks to the NSW Women's Week grants program and culminates with the announcement of the recipients of the NSW Women of the Year Awards 2024.

Women NSW are proud to support a program of events designed to celebrate, connect and honour the women and girls in our lives. There is something for women and girls of all ages and backgrounds, and we encourage the public to find out what is happening in their communities and get involved.

Saturday 2 - Sunday 10 March | Lake Mac Women in Sport Festival | The Lake Mac Women’s Sport Festival is a week-long celebration of the relationship of women and sport. This inclusive festival offers something for everyone, with an extensive program that caters to sporting newcomers, aspiring professional athletes, coaches, administrators and anyone who wants to challenge themselves and take on a new sport. Monday 4 March 10am - 3pm | Armidale International Women's Day event | This joint event with Armidale Zonta, Healthwise and Guyra Evening CWA will feature a keynote presentation by Jodie Harrison MP Minister for Women, followed by a panel session. Don't miss the launch of the Rural Women's Gathering History Book and the announcement of the host town for the Rural Women's Gathering 2024!

Monday 4 - Saturday 9 March Live broadcast from 7am - 8am, with repeats from 5pm - 6pm | TechTrailblazers: Women Thriving in the Digital Age - Radio Series | A 6-episode bilingual radio series delving into the stories of inspiring CALD women who have harnessed the power of information technology to break free from traditional gender roles and empower themselves. It will explore how they’ve used technology and innovation to become entrepreneurs, change-makers, and leaders in their fields. Tuesday 5 March 7:15am - 9am | Women in Sport Inspirational Breakfast | This event has sold out! Tuesday 5 March 10am | Women in Rice Coleambally Networking Event | In partnership with Rice Growers Association, Murrumbidgee Council will deliver a Women in Rice networking event. Tuesday 5 March 3:30pm-8:30pm | Weaving Strength and Diversity through the Generations of Women: A Celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women in Business & Community | An afternoon of cultural immersion connecting Indigenous girls and women of all ages and diverse backgrounds, followed by a special evening of celebration. The event promotes the resilience and leadership that exists among Indigenous Women and how economic opportunity can change the life of women, families and entire communities. Wednesday 6 - Saturday 9 March | Floral Arranging and High Tea | A fun and social evening with a High Tea and a Floral Arranging Workshop presented by local businesses with participants taking home a vase of flowers they have created. Wednesday 6 March 6pm-9pm | Wellbeing Through Art | Presented by Accessible Arts in partnership with the Art Gallery of NSW, this engaging hybrid event will explore ‘Wellbeing Through Art’. Learn from comedian Celia Pacquola, clinical psychologist Jane Miskovic-Wheatley and dancer Laura Osweiler as they explore the myriad benefits of art through discussing health, wellbeing and diverse creative expression.
