Targeted compliance inspections

We carry out inspections across NSW to monitor how homes are built and ensure construction meets quality standard.

A statewide approach to quality assurance

We conduct regular compliance inspections to help ensure building quality in residential construction across NSW.

Checking compliance with licensing and supervision requirements is a key part of our regional inspections. Our compliance program of work also includes building audits, building certifier audits and design and building practitioner audits, as well as focused plumbing, electrical and gas inspections.

Detecting defects early means they can be addressed swiftly, giving homeowners greater confidence in their homes and reducing the likelihood of costly repairs in future.

We report by region, giving tradespeople and consumers the ability to understand how the industry is performing where they work and live.
