Call for artists to contribute to the new Batemans Bay Community Health
Artists with strong connections to the Batemans Bay area are invited to contribute to the new $20 million Batemans Bay Community Health facility, with expressions of interest (EOIs) for a series of art commissions now open.
The new purpose-built community health facility will deliver a range of community-based services in one location, improving access to healthcare for communities in Batemans Bay and surrounding areas.
Artworks will be featured in spaces throughout the new building to create a welcoming, healing and supportive environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Artists with a relationship to the region are being encouraged to register their interest by sharing examples of their existing artworks to help contribute to:
- A single artwork, which will be reproduced on the facade of the building; and
- Multiple artworks, which will be displayed in interview and consult rooms throughout the new building.
Artists at all stages of their career are encouraged to register and share examples of their existing artworks for consideration.
Health Infrastructure has partnered with regional arts development organisation, South East Arts Inc, to provide professional development support for local artists, including preparing their submission. Artists are encouraged to contact Jo Naughton via email seainfo@southeastarts.org.au or call 0416 499 549 for more information.
Expressions of Interest for art commissions close at 11.59pm on Monday 1 December 2025.
Construction of Batemans Bay Community Health is underway and expected to be completed in 2026.
The new health facility is being designed to meet the healthcare needs of the local community and complement the expanded range of health services being delivered as part of the new $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.
