Location
Goulburn is Australia's first inland city and a regional city in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. Goulburn is a 2-hour drive from Sydney and 1 hour from Canberra (ACT). There are also regular bus and train services to major cities.
Getting there
Limited free public parking is available on site, including spaces near the main entry for patients and visitors. The site also provides accessible parking to support people with limited mobility. Street parking is available around Goulburn Base Hospital. The nearby streets have a mix of parking zones, including both timed and unrestricted areas, and these are set and managed by Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
Goulburn Base Hospital is a large campus with services located across several buildings. Depending on the clinic or service you are attending, you may need to enter through a different entrance. Most outpatient clinics and hospital services can be accessed via the Main Entrance on Goldsmith Street. If you are unsure where to go, please allow extra time for your visit and check in at reception on arrival. Hospital staff will be happy to direct you to the correct building or department.

Visitors are asked not to attend if they are feeling unwell or have symptoms of a cold, flu or other infectious illness.
Food and refreshments
Maggie's Café is located at the front entrance of Goulburn Base Hospital and offers a range of hot and cold drinks, light meals, sandwiches, snacks and sweet treats.
Goulburn Aboriginal Health Centre
Located on the Goulburn Base Hospital campus, the Goulburn Aboriginal Health Centre provides a welcoming space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families. The Centre offers community liaison, health promotion, disease prevention and support services, along with spaces for community programs and gatherings.
Patient transfers and direct admissions
Southern's District Patient Flow Unit coordinates patient movements between hospitals in Southern NSW Local Health District, and to or from hospitals outside our district.
The unit manages transfers, coordinates conference calls between referring and accepting clinicians, confirms bed availability, and books patient transport so care is timely and safe.

ANU Rural Clinical School Clinical Training Facility
Goulburn Base Hospital is home to the Australian National University (ANU) Rural Clinical School Clinical Training Facility, a modern education and training centre that supports medicalstudents undertaking rural placements. The facility includes clinical teaching rooms, simulation training spaces, meeting rooms, study areas and a clinical library. It is used by ANU students as well as Southern NSW Local Health District staff for education, training and professional development.
