Applying for the Resilient Homes Program
Applications for Resilient Measures closed 31 March 2026. Homeowners have until 20 December 2026 to submit a building scope of works.
All buyback property purchases need to be settled by 30 June 2026. Relocations must occur by the end of 2026.
All renovation and building works must be completed by 31 March 2027 with payments finalised and acquitted by mid-June 2027.
We are currently processing a high volume of new applications.
If you still want to apply for a Resilient Measures grant or need assistance, please contact the RHP team directly on 1800 844 085, email us at resilienthomesprogram@reconstruction.nsw.gov.au or drop in to our office at 218 Molesworth Street, Lismore during business hours.
You will need digital versions of the following documents ready to attach to the form:
- evidence that you are the owner of the property (such as a recent rates notice)
- evidence of name changes since you purchased the property, if relevant
- insurance policies from the time of the flood and other relevant correspondence from your insurer, including any documentation regarding claims and benefits received, if relevant
- copies of leases or tenancy agreements, if relevant
- photos of the property before and after the flood
- receipts for any renovations or repairs done after the flood.

Note: As part of the application process, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will store and protect personal information until no longer required, and may share information with partner agencies as part of the course and delivery of work.
The NSW Reconstruction Authority and NSW Government agencies must comply with the Privacy and Personal Information Act 1998 and Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002, which regulate the storage, use and disclosure of personal information held by Government Agencies.

Applications for other recovery programs
If you have applied for other NSW Government recovery programs (for example the Flood Property Assessment Program (FPAP), Disaster Relief Grant) or Temporary Housing (for Central West residents) and may be eligible for the Resilient Homes Program, you may be contacted to complete a separate application for the Resilient Homes Program.
Your eligibility for the Resilient Homes Program is not affected by your participation in the Flood Property Assessment Program.
