The winning entry of the iconic wind farm will be displayed as a wall mural in the hospital’s refurbished Emergency Department (ED), which is scheduled for completion in February 2022 as part of the hospital’s $2.5 million refurbishment.
Crookwell District Hospital Acting Senior Nurse Manager Debbie Hay said a staff member suggested the competition as a way to get the community involved in the aesthetics of the ED.
“I think it is a great idea to include a local photographer’s work in the hospital,” Mrs Hay said.
“We’d like to display a photo of the wind farm because it is part of Crookwell’s backdrop and history,” she said.
“It’s a huge opportunity for photographers, as the winner will have their photo displayed across a wall in the ED, and their name written on a plaque.
“We will also use a local business to create the mural from the winning photograph.”
The mural will be located in the ED’s waiting room and will be about three metres high and almost two metres wide.
The competition will open on Sunday 21 November 2021 and close on Tuesday 14 December 2021 at 11.59 pm.
Entries are free and can be submitted to Debbie Hay at Debbie.hay@health.nsw.gov.au
Please submit one photograph per entry, no more than 4MB. Please make sure you are able to supply the original, high resolution photograph in the event you are the winning entry.
