The Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 project's sustainability efforts have once again been recognised, with Transport for NSW being named a finalist in the 'Placemaking' category of the 2024 Banksia National Sustainability Awards.
The project won last year's state awards, which enabled it to progress to the national awards.

Transport for NSW has delivered many sustainability initiatives for the Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 project, including innovative sustainable design and global construction practices to provide a future-proofed, well-connected and accessible public transport system.

The winners of the 2024 Banksia National Sustainability Awards will be announced on 4 April 2024 in Melbourne.
