A selection of items uncovered during the project's light rail archaeological investigations are now publicly available online in 3D as part of a preservation initiative.
Transport for NSW worked with the project's major contractor Parramatta Connect, heritage specialist GML and Macquarie University to undertake 3D scans of various artefacts excavated during the construction of the Parramatta Light Rail.
The scans provide further insights into the archaeological significance of the artefacts uncovered, including the remains from a military barracks constructed in the 1790s.
Visit the City of Parramatta Council's Pedestal 3D website to view the scanned images.
