Vehicle classes
The dimensions of your vehicle can change what you pay on toll roads. Toll operators often divide vehicles into 'Class A' and 'Class B', but the exact dimensions may vary road to road.
Toll costs by road
All toll charges include the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The M2 Hills Motorway toll road was opened in 1997, allows users to travel between Seven Hills and North Ryde, and is owned and operated by Transurban.

The M5 South‑West Motorway toll road was opened in 1992 (with the Casula Bypass added in 1994), and allows users to travel between Beverly Hills and Prestons, and is jointly owned by the NSW Government (eastern section) and Interlink Roads, which is fully owned by Transurban.

The Westlink M7 Motorway toll road was opened in 2005, and allows users to travel between the M5 at Prestons and the M4 at Eastern Creek and M2 at Baulkham Hills; it is owned by the NorthWestern Roads (NWR) Group (a Transurban‑led consortium)

The Sydney Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Harbour Bridge toll routes were opened in 1992 (tunnel), and bridge much earlier, allowing users to travel between North Sydney and the CBD via the Harbour crossing, and are government‑owned assets (not part of Transurban concessions).

The Cross City Tunnel toll road was opened in 2005, allows travel between Darling Harbour and Rushcutters Bay, and is owned by a consortium under CrossCity Motorway Pty Ltd, which includes Royal Bank of Scotland, EISER Infrastructure Partners and Leighton Contractors.
