Elaborations for remaining priority areas

The National Program Standards for initial teacher education (ITE) require program providers to demonstrate that graduates of their programs meet the Graduate career stage of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

ITE graduates should develop skills and knowledge in a number of priority areas. These elaborations on the nationally agreed priority areas aim to provide guidance to providers seeking program accreditation and also to accreditation panels on the skills and knowledge that graduates are required to develop through the program.
