NESA annual report 2019-2020

NESA strives to ensure students in NSW reach their highest potential at school. The 2019-2020 annual report highlights NESA's goals, and how they've been achieved in the last year.

Achievements include:

• Commitment to Aboriginal education – continued the reconciliation journey developed in partnership with NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group.
• Delivery of the NSW Curriculum Review – streamlined and strengthened what will be taught in NSW schools over the next 4 years.
• Achievements in quality teaching – introduced dedicated Aboriginal education units to Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs, revised the Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HALT) Policy and maintained Australian Professional Standards for teachers.
