NESA strives to ensure students in NSW reach their highest potential at school. The 2020–2021 annual report highlights NESA's goals, and how they've been achieved in the last year.
Achievements include:
- COVID-19 support for students, parents, teachers and schools – introduced a dedicated email and phone line to help with concerns relating to COVID-19 and education.
- The COVID-19 Response Committee – created to help address the impact COVID-19 has on student's education and monitor the latest health advice for schools.
- #StayHealthyHSC Campaign – focused on the wellbeing of Year 12 students completing the HSC through the COVID-19 pandemic.
