The Latin Extension course extends students’ knowledge and understanding of Classical literature and language.
Students study prescribed and non-prescribed texts. There are course prescriptions for the Latin Extension course.
Students develop the ability to analyse and respond critically to texts.
Students’ knowledge and understanding are developed through analysis of:
- literary features
- context
- ideas, beliefs, arguments and practices
- language and linguistic features of these texts.
