Summary of applications

The total number of exam students refers to the number of students undertaking one or more HSC examinations in a given year.

HSC courses that do not have examinations include Life Skills courses designed for students with disability, some Vocational Education and Training (VET) endorsed courses, and other endorsed courses.

NESA has published school statistics for illness and misadventure applications from 2019. 

A small number of schools are not visible in the documents to protect the identity of individual students, or where the percentages may be misleading due to the small candidature of the school.
