NESA is aware of this morning’s Biology exam being interrupted at a number of schools after receiving a threatening email.
This afternoon’s exams will continue as scheduled unless students are advised otherwise by their school.
NESA is continuing to work closely with the school sectors to support HSC students.
Where an exam is interrupted for 40 minutes or more at a school, students will be dismissed by the Presiding Officer and affected students will not have to re-sit exam.
Where there is a delay of 60 minutes or more to an exam starting at a school, students will be dismissed by the Presiding Officer and affected students will not have to re-sit exams.
Schools will submit to NESA group applications for illness and misadventure on behalf of affected students.
NESA has rigorous and longstanding processes to make sure affected students get a fair result.
