Re-accreditation after revocation
When you can apply
Re-accreditation after revocation provides various pathways to support teachers to re-enter the profession.
You can apply for re-accreditation if the grounds for revocation no longer apply.
Grounds include:
- not having a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- having outstanding fees
- failure to provide professional development (PD) log
- failure to meet maintenance of accreditation requirements.
Our Re-accreditation Panel will review your application if you had your accreditation revoked for:
- failing to meet the applicable Standards
- failing to meet suitability to teach requirements
- misconduct.
If you were conditionally accredited, you will need to have completed an approved initial teacher education program before you can apply.
Prepare your application
To prepare for submitting your application, you can:
- read the Re-accreditation after revocation application form (PDF 296.43KB)
- get your supporting documents together
- address the grounds for which your accreditation was revoked (for example you may need to obtain a WWCC).
Contact us at reaccreditation@nesa.nsw.edu.au for advice on supporting documentation if your accreditation was revoked for:
- failing to meet the applicable Standards
- failing to meet suitability to teach requirements
- misconduct.
Submit your application with supporting documentation
Complete the Re-accreditation after revocation application form (PDF 296.43KB).
