Upgrades are needed to Appin Road to improve road capacity and increase safety.

What’s this about?

Planning is currently underway to deliver a 5.4-kilometre road safety upgrade between Mount Gilead and Ambarvale which includes intersection upgrades, widening part of the road from two to four lanes, and construction of new intersections to provide access to the approved Figtree Hill community project.

In addition, two koala underpasses and additional fauna fencing are proposed to increase protection for the local koala population.

The community is invited to provide feedback on the A/REF which will help us understand what is important to customers and the community.
