Chester Hill Station upgrade
What’s this about?
Transport for NSW wants to hear your thoughts on the draft concept design for upgrading Chester Hill Station.
This upgrade is part of the Safe Accessible Transport program, which aims to make public transport safe, inclusive, and user-friendly for everyone. This includes people with disability, older persons, people with prams or luggage, and anyone experiencing mobility problems.
Here's what the proposed upgrade at Chester Hill includes:
- New lift, stairs and concourse linking Chester Hill Road to the station platform.
- An accessible parking space, an accessible kiss and ride space, more bike parking and upgraded bus stops on Chester Hill Road and Waldron Road.
- Continuous canopy coverage from the station entry to both Boarding Assistance Zones and canopy replacement along Chester Hill Road.
- Addition of a family accessible toilet, an ambulant toilet, hearing loops, platform regrading and tactile indicators.
- Improved safety and security with better lighting, CCTV and wayfinding signage.
- Placemaking enhancements that consider Connecting to Country.
We're eager to hear your initial feedback on the draft concept design. Your input, along with that of other community members, passengers, and key stakeholders, will be addressed in the Review of Environmental Factors. This review will be open for further comment in the coming months.
