The Office of Social Impact Investment is seeking proposals for social impact investments (SII) that advance the economic wellbeing of women in NSW with experience of disadvantage. It is the first tender opportunity under the Social Impact Outcomes Fund announced under the 2021-22 NSW Budget.

This opportunity is open to job-focused social enterprises, with dedicated wrap around support for women experiencing barriers to employment. Multiple initiatives will be funded from a total funding pool of up to $5 million.
The purpose of this SII opportunity is to fund services that aim to advance the economic wellbeing of women who face increased barriers to economic security, independence and workforce participation. This may include programs that provide greater access to employment, build individual capacity through education and skills, and increase economic opportunity through entrepreneurship.
We are seeking solutions that are both designed for, and driven by, women.
OSII is committed to tailoring its approach to enable different types of impact-driven organisations, such as social enterprises, to participate in its SII opportunities. This tender is targeted towards trialing outcome-based contracting as an approach to supporting job-focused social enterprises in NSW. We want to better understand how the social enterprise model can support the delivery of economic wellbeing outcomes.
Social Impact Outcomes Fund Tender 1: Advancing economic wellbeing of women facing disadvantage opened for proposals on 1 August 2022 and closed 5pm 12 September 2022.
