Momentum supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in North-East New South Wales to obtain a birth certificate, driver’s licence and sustained employment to advance their economic wellbeing.

About the program

Momentum is a three-step holistic program to employment, including birth registration/ certification, a driver’s licence as well as training and job placement services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16 to 55 years in North-Eastern New South Wales.

Momentum links these three services into one cohesive program, addressing key barriers for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in this region to sustain employment and advance their wellbeing.

Momentum is delivered by Real Futures, a Supply Nation certified, Aboriginal-owned business.

Investment type: Payment-by-Results contract

Government payments: up to $8.8 million

Contract length: 4.3 years (commenced November 2022)

Outcome payment metrics: 4, 13 and 26 weeks sustained employment. Milestone payments are made for attainment of birth certificate and driver’s license.
