Molong - a great place to live
Molong is a charming rural town and has a heritage listed main street, with its lovely awnings, verandahs and cast iron lattice balustrades. Well preserved historic buildings are dotted around the town.
The name Molong is derived from an Aboriginal word meaning ‘place of many rocks’ and the surrounding countryside is rich agricultural land known for its production of wool, wheat, apples, wine grapes, beef and lamb.
Molong’s services include a supermarket, service station, hardware store, rural supplies, several café’s/restaurants, hotels, RSL and bowling club, library, hairdressers, boutique stores, local arts and crafts and sporting ovals. Molong has a peaceful village-like atmosphere with a tight knit community who care for each other, and anything else you may need that is not available locally is a 25-30 minute drive to the major regional centre of Orange.
