Trangie Multipurpose Service (MPS) offering 24 hour emergency care, with 1 emergency department bed, 2 acute beds covering general medicine, respite and palliative care and 18 residential aged care beds as well as ambulatory, primary and community health.
Visiting services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, mental health and preoperative clinics.
There is a private general practice that is co-located, with a doctor available Mon-Fri 8.30am - 5pm.

Trangie - a great place to live
Trangie is a small rural town located in the Orana region of NSW on the Mitchell Highway, with a population of approximately 1,000 people. Trangie serves as a key agricultural hub within the central west region, with its economy primarily based on farming, including cotton, wheat, and sheep farming.
Trangie is located along the Macquarie River, which provides essential irrigation for its agricultural activities, supporting both crop production and livestock rearing as well as recreational activities such as swimming, fishing and bird watching or visit the Goan Waterhole to relax and enjoy a picnic or barbeque.
The Trangie Wungunja Cultural Centre showcases a large variety of artefacts providing insight into the local heritage and culture of the town and region.

Getting here and getting away
Trangie is a 1 hour drive to Dubbo and less than 30 minutes drive to Narromine.
From Dubbo there are daily direct flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Canberra and has over 12 flights departing daily. For current schedules please visit the Dubbo Regional Airport website.
The drive from Trangie to Sydney is approximately 6 hours.
