In November 2020, NESA published an update to the Guidelines for the Regulation of Teacher Accreditation Authorities for Non-government Schools and Early Childhood Education Centres (‘the TAA Guidelines’).
The update removes references to transitional arrangements that have been in place for TAAs operating before 1 January 2016. At the end of 2020, these transitional arrangements expire.
The removal of transitional arrangements will not require any changes to a TAA’s policies and procedures.
From 2021, all TAAs for non-government schools and ECECs will be subject to the requirements and approval processes detailed in the TAA Guidelines.
Please note that the web version of the TAA Guidelines is the most up-to-date version at any time.
