Teacher accreditation reforms
On 24 October 2022, NESA introduced the NSW Teacher Accreditation Manual (TA Manual), which is being implemented in stages.

ESA has previously introduced:
- Sections 1–3; 10; 11 (effective 24 October 2022)
- Sections 4–7; 9; 12; 14 (effective 29 November 2022)
Effective: Immediately
From today, 27 February 2023, suitability to teach assessments will be expanded to include new and returning teachers and section 13 of the TA Manual takes effect with the publication of this notice. Information on how suitability to teach is assessed can be found on the NESA website.
2023 reforms
NESA will continue to implement teacher accreditation reforms in 2023, including:
- a Non-practising teacher accreditation category
- streamlined recording of Elective PD
- a transition to the TA Manual requirements for early childhood teachers.
