The new Science and Technology K–6 syllabus is now available for download (as a PDF or Word document) from the NESA website.
In 2018 schools will continue to deliver the current Science K–10 (incorporating Science and Technology K–6) Syllabus (2012).
From Term 1, 2019 implementation commences for the new Science and Technology K–6 Syllabus (2017) for Early Stage 1 to Stage 3.
Key features of the new syllabus include:
- a reduction in the number of outcomes
- a reduction in the number of content strands
- the replacement of Working Technologically skills with Design and Production
- the inclusion of a Digital Technologies strand.
