The new Stage 6 English, Mathematics Standard, Science and History syllabuses and school-based assessment requirements are to be implemented in all NSW schools from Term 1, 2018.
New Stage 6 English, Mathematics Standard, Science and History courses will be examined for the first time for the HSC in 2019.
Examination specifications and sample examination materials for new courses are now available. The Assessment and Examination Materials for each course provide:
- an assessment and reporting document, including new examination specifications
- sample examination materials, including questions, marking guidelines and mapping grids
- revised performance band descriptions
The following reference sheets are available with the examination materials:
- Chemistry formulae sheet, data sheet and periodic table
- Physics formulae sheet, data sheet and periodic table
- Earth and Environmental Science geological time scale.
The Mathematics Standard 1 and Mathematics Standard 2 reference sheets will be published in Term 4, 2018.
