Schools selected randomly for inspection
All schools in NSW are part of NESA’s program to inspect schools selected randomly. The requirements inspected for this program change annually.

Who needs to read this?
- Principals and proprietors of non-government schools
- Representatives of systems of non-government schools
- Principals of government schools
- Directors, Educational Leadership
- Relevant directorates within the Department of Education
All schools in NSW are part of NESA’s program to inspect schools selected randomly.
The requirements selected for this program change annually.
In 2023, 30 schools will be inspected in relation to:
- Safe and supportive environment: child protection, and
- Curriculum (either Primary, Junior Secondary or Senior Secondary).
Inspections will take place from the second half of Term 1 and be completed by the end of Term 3, 2023.
