This factsheet presents key finding from the 2015 Young People in Custody Health Survey for young males in custody compared to young females in custody. Among the key findings, the survey found that 23% of young males reported having had a head injury resulting in unconsciousness with the rate much higher among females at 53%. Young males were also significantly less likely to have been bullied (33%) compared to females (58%).
