Grants available for bushfire clean-up and restoration costs
Grants of up to $15,000 are available for primary producers and small businesses to assist with clean-up and restoration costs.
The Natural Disaster Recovery Relief Grant is available to primary producers and small businesses in the Northern Tablelands, North Coast and Mid North Coast.
The cash grants will assist farmers to rebuild their businesses and help fix damage caused by the fires. This includes rebuilding fences, purchasing new equipment and procure feed and fodder.
Recovery grants are available in the following LGAs:
- Armidale
- Ballina
- Bellingen
- Byron
- Clarence Valley
- Coffs Harbour
- Glen Innes Severn
- Inverell
- Kempsey
- Kyogle
- Lismore
- Mid-Coast
- Nambucca
- Port Macquarie-Hastings
- Richmond Valley
- Tenterfield
- Tweed
- Walcha.
Minister for Agriculture and Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall said it is critical to help farmers get back on their feet.
“I encourage farmers and small businesses who have been impacted by the recent fires to get in touch with the NSW Rural Assistance Authority and apply for grant assistance,” Mr Marshall said.
