Late-night trading extensions for seven more city venues
Twenty-six venues in the CBD and Kings Cross can now admit patrons until 2am and serve drinks until 3.30am.
The NSW Government has approved late-night trading extensions to these live entertainment venues:
- Hudson Ballroom
- Side Bar
- Hilton Hotel
- Orient Hotel
- Courthouse Hotel
- Della Hyde
- Colombian Hotel.
The Gaslight Inn in the Oxford St precinct has been exempted from the 1.30am lockout on the condition it stops serving alcohol at this time.
Minister for Racing Paul Toole said the emphasis on live entertainment at these venues had created more work opportunities for musicians and other entertainers.
“Extended trading is providing more diverse entertainment options for locals and visitors to enjoy,” Mr Toole said.
The extensions follow the lifting of drinks restrictions for small bars in the CBD and Kings Cross, allowing them to sell spirits straight or on the rocks after midnight.
