Each year over 5000 cats and dogs are reported lost across NSW. Pet owners are being encouraged to register their dog on the NSW Pet Registry.
The registry allows you to update your contact details, report your pet missing, change ownership details and pay the lifetime registration and annual permit fee (if applicable).
Pet registration fees go straight back into the community by funding council animal shelters, ranger services, dog recreation areas, and education and awareness activities.
The NSW Government offers half-price registration fees for dogs adopted from any rescue shelter. Visit an RSPCA shelter, a council pound, or one of the many approved rehoming organisations across the state to rescue an animal in desperate need of a home.
NSW’s art and cultural institutions and independent artists will receive $1 million in financial support to stage next year’s inaugural Sydney WorldPride Festival.
