The 2017/18 NSW Budget will fund work on 32 urban revitalisation projects along Parramatta Road, from Granville to Camperdown.

Projects to improve the liveability of the eight precincts around the corridor include:

  • upgrading streetscapes, such as tree planting, lighting, new pavements and pedestrian and cycle crossings
  • creating new or improved open spaces, urban plazas and town squares
  • building walking and cycling links to transport and open spaces.

The projects will be undertaken in Granville, Auburn, Homebush, Burwood-Concord, Kings Bay, Leichhardt, Taverners Hill and Camperdown.

The NSW Government developed the plan of works after consultation with local communities and councils. The Greater Sydney Commission will work with the six councils to deliver the projects.
