Volunteer with us
We value the support of local volunteers willing to spend a few hours each week to help us care for our patients and carers.
Often the role of a volunteer is simply listening and talking, reading to a patient, or helping with simple activities to keep their spirits up.
We provide training and support for people interested in becoming a volunteer. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, contact our Executive Manager, Aboriginal Health and Community Relations on (08) 8080 1512 or email Corina Kemp.
Palliative care service volunteering
Our palliative care services in both Broken Hill and Dareton provide training and support for people interested in becoming a palliative care volunteer in the community or our hospitals.
You will help maintain quality of life for patients living at home with a life-limiting illness, or an improved hospital experience for people living with dementia, confused older people and people with a life limiting illness.
