Local Community Engagement Groups
We have 8 local Community Engagement Groups (CEG), which represent: Broken Hill, Balranald, Wilcannia, Tibooburra, Ivanhoe, Menindee, White Cliffs and Two Rivers. There is also a Youth Advisory Group.
Anybody in the community can apply to be a CEG member, and we encourage a diverse membership.
CEG members play an important role in bringing concerns and suggestions to us from the community. They also help keep the community up to date on our achievements and plans.
For more information, or if you are interested in joining a Community Engagement Group, contact:

CEG applicants will be asked to complete a Far West LHD Community Engagement Group application form (PDF 482.14KB) and go through some routine ID and security checks.
Youth Advisory Group
The Far West Local Health District values youth voices, and we believe that young people should have a say in the decisions that affect their health and wellbeing.
If you are aged 12-24 years, live within the Far West LHD, and are passionate about the future of health services in your community, we invite you to join our welcoming and inclusive Youth Advisory Group (YAG).
As a volunteer YAG member, you will have the opportunity to contribute to planning and evaluation of youth health projects, share your lived experience as a resident of Far West NSW, and collaborate on recommendations to enhance youth services.
By participating in monthly meetings and project-specific consultation panels, you will gain valuable insights and experience into how the public health system works, build practical skills in communication and collaboration, and learn what goes into running a community engagement group. You will also have opportunities to connect with FWLHD staff and community members, helping you develop networks and experiences that can support your future study, career pathways, and leadership skills.
