Far West LHD health professions on show at Careers Expo
Local students can learn all about the variety of health careers available to them here by attending the Careers Expo on Wednesday (16 August) at the Whitehouse in Broken Hill.
Far West Local Health District representatives will be available at the Expo to speak with students to discuss career pathways, study options and future employment opportunities within the health sector and the LHD.
“The students will be able to engage and speak with representatives from Allied Health, Aboriginal Health, Mental Health, corporate Administration and Nursing and Midwifery to explore these options as future careers,” said Mr David Green, Director People and Culture.
This is the first time the Far West LHD has canvassed its whole organisation to be represented at the Careers Expo to provide as much information to school children as possible.
“Through representation at career expos Far West LHD is hoping to attract the next generation of health employees and provide opportunity for local students to study, work and gain essential skills and experience to benefit the community,” he said.
