How many people can say their work impacts millions of people every day? Not many, right?

A digital role at the Department of Customer Service (DCS) means you’ll wake up every morning knowing you're make a difference, a difference to the lives of everyone living in NSW – all 8 million+ of us.

At DCS we’re out to make the NSW Government the most customer-centric, digital government in the world.

We are a leading central service agency, made up of over 30 agencies, entities and business units, including Service NSW, Digital.NSW, Revenue NSW, and the State Insurance Regulatory Authority, which makes our work incredibly diverse.

We work with the latest tech on pioneering digital projects that make an impact. Think award-winning projects like bushfire relief, the Active Kids program, and Digital Driver Licence – that’s our work - innovative digital services that make life easier.

More than perks, this is what we promise

Our people come first. We look after you, so you can help us look after the people of NSW.

The way of the future

We’re not your traditional government agency – we will empower you to source the latest contemporary technologies and tools - React, Apigee, Figma, and Kubernetes – you won’t be restricted by monolith code here!

Work in an agile environment with a chapter and multi-discipline squad structure. We are nimble, lean and agile, and you will get opportunities for rotation to experience different products and projects to build your skills and experience.

It’s not just the tools we use though, it’s also the mindsets and frameworks we adopt from human-centred design to simplifying UX to pair programming and test-driven development.
