Astrazeneca Vaccine now available for everyone aged 18 and over
The Far West Local Health District is urging all adults to get vaccinated against COVID-19, including everyone aged 18 and over who can now access the AstraZeneca vaccine with informed consent.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is available to everyone aged 18 and over from GPs, NSW Health clinics and a growing number of community pharmacies, including the Wentworth Pharmacy in Far West LHD. Please talk to your health care provider or vaccination provider in relation to the risks and benefits of vaccination with the COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine.
'The Far West LHD will be offering the AstraZeneca vaccine to everyone aged 18 and over at our Community Vaccination Clinic in Broken Hill,' said Mr Umit Agis, Chief Executive Far West LHD,
AstraZeneca will also be available for adults at regional and remote facilities in the District.
'All recipients must give informed consent following discussion of the risks and benefits of vaccination using the latest information and advice from Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
'We urge everyone to get vaccinated against COVID-19, whether through our community vaccination clinic, or through the clinics operated by our partners including the RFDS and Maari Ma.'
