New projects for Blue Mountains Hospital
The Leura Gardens Festival Committee has generously donated over $350,000 towards two new projects that will improve the experience of patients at Blue Mountains Hospital.

Cosmetic improvements, new equipment and a redesign to increase the clinical space and assign dedicated areas for rehabilitation activities are just some of the ways inpatients and outpatients will benefit.
While the newly completed installation of a pneumatic tube system will speed up deliveries of samples from the emergency department to pathology, facilitating a faster return of results and a reduced length of stay for patients in the emergency department.
Acting General Manager Judith Walloscheck says she and her team are grateful for the tremendous donation and the ongoing support of the Leura Gardens Festival Committee.
“These are incredibly exciting projects to undertake and once completed they will bring major benefits to both our patients and staff.”
