Regulations

The Mirage Eclipse does not require registration, and the operator is not required to hold a boat licence as the vessel is not powered.

Use on NSW waters

Recreational operators of the Mirage Eclipse are exempt from wearing a lifejacket when less than 400m from shore. However, it is recommended that lifejackets are worn.

For hire and drive vessels, operators must wear a lifejacket at all times.

All operators of the Mirage Eclipse are exempt from carrying safety equipment.
