About the Project

The Blaxland Activation and Improvement Program delivers targeted improvements to public amenities within the Blaxland Town Centre. The enhancements are required to meet rapid tourism growth and the need for upgraded local amenities to serve the community and visitors to the area.
 

Project Scope

The project delivers the following targeted improvements:

  • Renewal of paving and removal of tree root obstructions
  • Replacement seating to accessibility standards
  • New disabled parking in the Town Centre
  • Terrace platform in the Town Centre
  • Bus shelter upgrade
  • Outdoor dining areas
  • Shared pedestrian zone
  • Public artwork for bush shelter and amenities block
  • New directional signage
  • Waste bin and lighting upgrades
  • Upgrade to public amenities, fixtures and street furniture
  • Introduction of smart technology
  • New vegetation plantings.
