Three cases are located at Wilcannia and were identified after they became symptomatic on the weekend and were infectious from 13 August 2021. They are in the same family and are in isolation and are doing well.
Investigations and contact tracing are continuing and more close and casual contacts may be identified.
As announced yesterday a case was confirmed in Broken Hill and that person remains in isolation. The person was infectious from 13 August.
While Far West LHD residents are urged to limit their movements in the community at this time, widespread COVID-19 testing is critical.
