Community Referral to Justice Health Procedure

This document outlines the procedures when a young person comes into contact with Youth Justice during court proceedings and discloses or is suspected of having a mental health or cognitive impairment.

Use this procedure when a young person is to appear before the Court and has been diagnosed with or is suspected of having a mental health or cognitive impairment and may benefit from an assessment by the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
