Wellbeing recovery initiative to support regional youth
Organisations can apply for a share in $10.3 million to deliver projects that support recovery, boost resilience, and support mental health and wellbeing for young people in regional NSW.
The Children and Young People Wellbeing Recovery Initiative aims to help with recovery from the impacts of natural disasters and COVID-19.
Regional Youth Minister Ben Franklin said the funding will aid a number of projects that support people aged 24 and under including:
- the wellbeing of young people,
- recovery activities,
- resilience building,
- social inclusion, and
- building community connections.
“These grants will support projects that build the resilience of young people for future adverse events and help regional youth bounce back stronger and be more connected with their peers and communities than ever before," Mr Franklin said.
Councils, schools, not-for-profit organisations, and Local Aboriginal Land Councils are invited to access the funding.
Applications close Sunday, 31 December 2022.
