Resilient Australia Awards

The Resilient Australia Awards is a national program celebrating and promoting initiatives that build whole-of-community resilience to disasters and emergencies around Australia. Now in its 22nd year, the awards program recognises outstanding contributions in each state and territory across six categories: community, business, local government, government, school and photography.

NSW Get Ready Community Award

The NSW Get Ready Community Award is a NSW Government initiative launched in 2015. The award recognises and celebrates NSW communities that have come together and done exceptional work to be more prepared and better able to recover from disasters.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists of the NSW Get Ready Community Award and Resilient Australia Awards 2021.

Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliott and Commissioner of Resilience NSW Shane Fitzsimmons payed tribute to the efforts of communities to raise disaster awareness, increase preparedness, and build resilience in communities across NSW at the virtual awards ceremony as part of the annual Australian Disaster Resilience Conference.
