About Moruya coastal bar
Moruya River is a bar harbour, the entrance to which is between two breakwaters 150m apart. The navigable channels vary from 24m to 60m in width and normally have an average depth of 2m at low water.
Overhead and submarine cables and pipes cross the river at various points, and are usually indicated by warning notices on the shore. Caution should be exercised at all times while navigating or anchoring in the vicinity of these crossings.
