Installation of marine farm boundary markers and related infrastructure
Where
When
The Restriction
Vessel operators are advised that a series of Aids to Navigation and related infrastructure associated with two marine farms (Aquaculture Leases) have been installed in the waters of Jervis Bay, adjacent to the township of Callala Beach.
Navigation Warning
The two marine farms have been installed approximately 1 kilometre from the shoreline of Callala Beach in Jervis Bay, with vessel operators advised to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity, especially during times of restricted visibility.
Within the boundary of the marine farm, a series of fixed and/or floating structures, such as mooring lines, will also be placed.
Aids to Navigation, which are lit and designated as Cardinal Marks, have been placed to indicate the corner points of the marine farm boundary, and a series of Special Marks will also be placed along each side of the boundary.
Vessel operators are not to operate within the marine farm and are further advised that the unauthorised use of or interference with the Aids to Navigation, such as securing a vessel, is not permitted.
