What’s this about?

Central Precinct Renewal Program is an initiative to revitalise up to 24 hectares of land in and around Australia’s busiest transport interchange – Sydney’s Central Station, into an exciting new place for business and the community.

As part of the Program, planning is underway to revitalise the Sydney Terminal Building. It will be the first major step in renewing Central Precinct into a new day and night destination.

The proposed revitalisation will transform the Terminal Building and its public domain interfaces at Eddy Avenue Colonnade and Eddy Avenue Plaza, into a destination with new event and curated retail spaces, a stronger customer arrival experience and improved safety, amenity, wayfinding and accessibility.

The Department of Planning and Environment has placed the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is on public exhibition until Wednesday 8 March.

The EIS provides information on the proposed revitalisation as well as the potential economic, environmental, and social impacts of the project.
