Far North Coast

What’s this about?

The NSW Government is preparing regional water strategies that will bring together the latest climate evidence to plan and manage the water needs of NSW over the next 20 to 40 years.

A long term regional water strategy will help guide how the NSW Government can manage challenges faced in the Far North Coast region.

The draft Far North Coast regional water strategy has been developed to help manage the water needs in the region over the next 20 years. The draft will go on the second round of public exhibition from the 1st of November until the 11th of December.

There will be a public information webinar and a series of face-to-face engagement sessions across the region to inform and seek feedback on the draft strategy.

Stakeholders are invited to 'drop-in' at any time over the three-hour period to discuss any water issues with department staff, share local knowledge and provide feedback as part of the community consultation process.

The drop-in sessions aim to give our stakeholders individual access to staff members, data and information, to assist with their understanding of the draft water sharing plan.

Visit the Department’s website to read more about the draft strategy, how you can be involved and to have your say at Far North Coast Regional Water Strategy | Water (nsw.gov.au)
