Pottsville temporary housing village
The temporary housing village established on Tweed Coast Road, Pottsville, is being decommissioned in 2025.
About the site
The site is located on Crown Land at 7 Centennial Drive near the northern Tweed Holiday Parks.
The site hosts 37 caravans and has been operational since August 2022.
This village is managed by Northern Rivers Housing.
The Pottsville site has supported many residents on their recovery journey by providing temporary housing following the 2022 floods.
As part of the agreed funding arrangements with the Australian Government, and with the site lease coming to an end, Pottsville Village is being decommissioned in 2025.
Residents are being supported to transition into alternative housing by 27 June.
Following this, the site will be handed over to NSW Public Works to begin remediation works, ahead of its scheduled return to the landowner by the end of 2025.
